II. General information on data processing

General information
The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website. Personal data are all data with which you can be personally identified.

Scope of processing of personal data
Your data is collected, among other things, by you voluntarily providing it to us. This may involve data that you enter into a contact form, for example. Furthermore, data may be collected to ensure the error-free provision of the website.

Other data is automatically collected by our IT systems when you visit the website. These are primarily technical data (e.g., internet browser, operating system, or time of page access). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.

Data deletion and storage duration
Personal data of the data subject will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply. Storage may also take place if this is provided for by the European or national legislator in EU regulations, laws, or other provisions to which the data controller is subject. The data will also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the mentioned standards expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion or fulfillment of a contract.

III. Rights of the data subject

If your personal data is processed, you are a data subject within the meaning of the GDPR and you have the following rights against the data controller:

Right to information: You can exercise your right to information pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR at any time to ascertain whether personal data concerning you is being processed by us.

Right to rectification: You can exercise your right to rectification pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR at any time and request the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you.

Right to restriction of processing: You can exercise your right to restriction of processing pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR at any time and request the restriction of processing if the legal requirements are met.

Right to erasure: You can exercise your right to erasure pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR at any time and request the immediate deletion of personal data concerning you if this data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.

Right to notification: You can exercise your right to notification pursuant to Art. 19 GDPR at any time. If you have exercised your right to rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing against us, we are obliged to notify all recipients to whom the personal data concerning you have been disclosed of this rectification or erasure of the data or restriction of processing, unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort. You have the right to be informed about these recipients.

Right to data portability: You can exercise your right to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR at any time. You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and have the right to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance.

Right to object: You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you pursuant to Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, including profiling based on those provisions. The controller shall no longer process the personal data concerning you unless the controller demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights, and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

If personal data concerning you are processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing, which includes profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing. If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, the personal data concerning you will no longer be processed for such purposes. You have the option, in the context of the use of information society services – notwithstanding Directive 2002/58/EC – to exercise your right to object by means of automated procedures using technical specifications.

Right to withdraw consent for data processing: You can withdraw any consent given for data processing at any time. A simple notification by email to the data controller is sufficient for this purpose. The lawfulness of data processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: In the event of breaches of data protection law, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for data protection issues is the data protection officer of the federal state in which our company is located. A list of data protection officers and their contact details can be found at the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.

IV. Provision of the website and data collection on the website

1. Creation of log files (server log files)

a) Description and scope of data processing: Each time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer.

b) The following data is collected:

(1) Information about the browser type and version used
(2) The user’s operating system
(3) The Internet service provider of the user
(4) The IP address of the user
(5) Date and time of access
(6) Websites from which the user’s system reaches our website
(7) Websites accessed by the user’s system through our website

The data is not stored in the log files of our system.

c) Legal basis for data processing: The legal basis for the temporary storage of data and log files is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

d) Purpose of data processing: The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable the website to be delivered to the user’s computer. For this purpose, the IP address of the user must remain stored for the duration of the session. This also constitutes our legitimate interest in data processing pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

e) Duration of storage: The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose of its collection. In the case of data collected to provide the website, this is the case when the respective session is ended.

f) Objection and removal option: The collection of data for the provision of the website is necessary for the operation of the website. Consequently, there is no possibility of objection on the part of the user.

2. Use of cookies

The websites partly use so-called cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize

your browser on your next visit.

You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions desired by you (e.g., shopping cart function) are stored based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g., cookies for analyzing your browsing behavior) are stored, they will be treated separately in this privacy policy.

3. SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

4. Contact form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. An informal message by email to us is sufficient for this purpose. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data entered by you in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

V. Third-party plugins

Instagram

Functions of the Instagram service are integrated on our pages. These functions are offered by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA. If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the contents of our pages to your Instagram profile by clicking the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to associate your visit to our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Instagram.
